Hi! I am Lucy.
During my 20(ish) year career in makeup I have acquired vast, in depth knowledge in all aspects of makeup design from beauty makeup right through to casualty and special effects. I have been lucky enough to work with some exceptional photographers in some of the worlds most beautiful places. International travel is one of my absolute favourite "perks" of the job!
I consider myself to be resourceful, and creative and always work on my own initiative. I take inspiration from all walks of life. Other artists, paintings even a passage in my favourite book can spark an imaginative idea.
I am fully proficient and experienced in all aspects of makeup application from high fashion right through to every day looks and bridal. I have worked within every medium imaginable too. Print is the most common however I have been head of department on films, worked on TV commercials and music promo's.
I have worked on every type of client. From TV presenters to models. Nervous brides to people needing to learn how to apply medical corrective techniques. Past clients include Playboy Accessories, Sky TV, Seasalt Organic Clothing, Charnos and Very catalogues to name just a few.
I was the co-founder and beauty editor for the North West's most stylish publication, #INSPO Magazine.
I have 10 years experience as an academic and course leader of a makeup specific undergraduate degree and developing new talent and the next generation of fashion professionals truly feels like my “purpose”.
